YOU KNOW YOUR RED BEANS ARE PROBLEMATIC WHEN…

…THEY BURN A HOLE THROUGH YOUR NEW POT!

My niece came over to Insite headquarters about a month ago and cooked a big pot of red beans for a small group of people. That niece is Jamie ‘Jailyn’ Jones. She cooked such a large batch of beans until I decided to put the remainder away in the refrigerator for another day that never quite arrived. Needless to say, after about a month I decided to take them out and throw them away. There was no horrible smell or mildew growing but what I did find shocked me. Keep in mind this pot was recently purchased for the purpose of in house seafood boils at Insite headquarters. It was virtually brand new. But when I emptied the beans out and started to clean it there was a hole in the pot pictured above. A hole in a cooking pot. Immediately I blamed Jamie ‘Jailyn’ Jones for her so called deadly and acidic red beans. They must have eaten through the pot. Have you ever seen anything like this before? This is very strange!
