A Houston city judge says she’s had enough of the harassment, retaliation and racism from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.
This came after Municipal Court Judge April Walker was arrested Wednesday for the second time in one year. She was accused of evading arrest.
Investigators say she interfered with the deputies’ investigation as her two sons were being arrested with four other teenagers for trespassing and marijuana.
Walker filed a lawsuit against the Harris County Sheriff’s Department after she was arrested in January for impersonating a public official. Charges were later dropped.
“All I wanted was an apology, to say, ‘I’m sorry; we messed up; go on with your life, we’ll go on with ours,’” Walker said. “But now, this has happened they’re resurrected the fight in me. It’s on now.”
A sheriff’s office Spokesman John Martin said Walker was arrested for not following orders of a sergeant at the scene of the incident.
Walker also alleges a deputy on the scene of the incident called her a nigger bitch. A claim the department says can not be verified because it wasn’t in the deputies’ report!
