A teacher from the Katy Independent School District has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a student, according to court documents obtained by FOX 26 News.
Virginia Cammack, 35, was charged with improper relationship with a student and was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
Cammack appeared before a judge Wednesday for a probable cause hearing.
The Katy teacher is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old student.
During her arraignment setting, the District Attorney has requested that Cammack not contact the student.
Katy ISD officials say Cammack had been working there for three years. She had resigned before she was arrested.
Officials would not give further comment.
