Baker & McKenzie LLP is pleased to announce that David Chaumette has joined the Firm’s Houston office as a Partner in its regional and global Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Mr. Chaumette has tried cases and prosecuted appeals across Texas and the United States. His trials have involved oil and gas, securities, software licensing, and real estate disputes. He has also extensively published on electronic discovery issues, including the management of electronic information in corporations. Mr. Chaumette received his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School, his M.S. degree from Stanford University (Aeronautics/Astronautics), and his B.S.E., cum laude, from Princeton University.
Mr. Chaumette is a member of the American Law Institute and the Litigation Counsel of America and has been previously named “Texas Rising Star” by Law & Politics Magazine. He is married to Sugar Land City Councilmember Jacqueline Chaumette. The couple has two children, Raphael and Alexandre.
