MIKE ROBERTS DROPS BY THE INSITE WITH EMPLOYMENT FOR HIS EMPLOYEES DURING THE STORM!
When Gustav passed through the south, the storm left 10,000 people without jobs according to the federal government. But St. Louis businessman Mike Roberts, who owns the Holiday Inn at 59 and the Beltway in Houston, is trying to insure Ike doesn’t leave his employees on hard times. Roberts called in all his employees he could during the storm and kept them working. In fact, many of the workers earned extra money from overtime. Roberts and his brother Steven are the owners of 12 hotels around the country. Roberts Companies is the largest African American owned hotel group in the US. They also own several television and radio stations. The businessmen say it was important to show Houston they care about the community and they’re good corporate partners with the community. Hey Mike, thanks for dropping by the Insite!
