I was just wondering what happened to former State Representative Borris Miles. He’s been very quiet since his indictment for deadly conduct. But you can’t keep Miles down when it comes to his community. Apparently, he’ll be giving out turkeys this weekend. Here’s more information:
In the spirit of giving Borris L. Miles, State Representative District 146, and TexStars Foundation will distribute 500 turkeys to local residents throughout the Houston communities of Third Ward and Sunnyside, Saturday, November 22, 2008 beginning at 3:00 p.m. The groups of community supporters invite community members in need and those who want to support the decline of hunger in Houston communities to meet at Sunnyside Park at 3:00 p.m. to share in the joy of giving. The giving will begin at Sunnyside Park and travel throughout District 146 until all turkeys have been distributed. “We have so much to give thanks for and want to continue to be a blessing on the communities that we serve. It is through community collaboration> that we will alleviate hunger. I’d like to personally thank Constable May Walker and her officers for their contribution.” Borris L. Miles, Texas State Representative District 146.
