GUTTER WATER TO BRING NEW LIFE TO HOUSTON!

I GUESS WE’RE ONLY TALKING ABOUT TREES!

I was a bit surprised when I noticed some workers in the MacGregor Park area watering some newly planted trees on Saturday. They were using an apparatus to pump water from the bayou to water the growth. When I think of water in the bayou, the brown tint always gives me the impression it’s gutter water. I thought fresh water would be used to help trees grow in our city. I wonder what type of chemicals will be found in the H2O mix. Even scarier, further down the bayou just off Scott street I saw a man who was fishing. In mind I said, “please fool, don’t be a dummy and eat that fish.” I didn’t even know there were fish in the bayou. But that’s just me…a country boy from the small city of Baton Rouge, La. Maybe Houstonians know something about bayous I don’t. Maybe they’re like the fountain on youth here after all it is called the Bayou City!
