Houston attorney Al Bennett was sworn in Friday as the newly elected judge in the 61st District Court in Harris County. In November he was able to unseat Republican John Donovan. The Insite made a quick run through his swearing in ceremony to grab some photos. Bennett, who’s Democrat, is among a long list of judges to push out more than a dozen Republican judges in Harris County!
Note from Al:
Thank you! Words are not enough to express my gratitude for all that you have done for this campaign. With your support, we have ushered in a new era at the Harris County courthouse. When given a clear choice between “business as usual” and “change for the better”, you resoundingly voted to end one party rule at the courthouse.
As I pledged, I will serve the citizens of Harris County to the very best of my ability and give you every reason to cast your ballot for me again in four years. I will not let you down. Again, thank you and now on to the work ahead.
Alfred H. “Al” Bennett
