Frank Marron allegedly led Houston police officers on a pursuit near 79th and Elmwood. Investigators say Marron’s vehicle was stolen.

In that pursuit, Marron allegedly hit and killed 41-year-old Homero Rosales. Murillo Alvarado, 55, was also injured in the crash.

Marron was in court Monday morning where his bond was set at $100,000.

Meanwhile, Alvarado’s family members say HPD officers should’ve pulled out of the chase when it hit a residential area. The son of Alavarado is also asking the city of Houston to pay his medical bills.

The attorney representing the Alavarados plans to file a claim with the city. Officials with HPD maintain their officers did nothing wrong.
