Jennifer Hudson has been pretty much out of the public eye since her mother, brother and nephew were killed in Chicago back in October. But she’ll make her way back in one of the biggest possible venues there is: the Super Bowl. The Oscar winner and “American Idol” finalist will be performing the national anthem at the NFL’s championship game, to be held in Tampa, Florida, Feb. 1. Hudson hasn’t made a public appearance since her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew were killed. Her estranged brother-in-law has been charged in the murders. Hudson had released her self-titled debut album just before the killings. After the Super Bowl appearance, Hudson is to sing at the Grammys’ MusiCares event in Los Angeles. She is up for four Grammys this year.
