NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD!

IT WAS TRIAL AND ERROR BUT I THINK THEY GOT IT RIGHT!

It’s been a long battle for the Insite when it comes to life in front of the camera. Because of my dark skin it has been very difficult to find tv makeup that actually matches me. You know me, I’ll buy $3 makeup from the convenience store and call it a day. But the problem with that is I always end up looking gray on television. In my mind I look like a zombie from a scene in ‘Night of The Living Dead’. But I think some young ladies at the Galleria Dillard’s solved my problem. They actually created some makeup for me. It actually took nearly an hour to get it right. They started out with a really dark powder then added blue, black and lots of red. After trial and error they got it right. The ladies asked me if I was concerned about sitting in a makeup chair while they tried different shades on me. I told them the last thing I was concerned about is what people passing by would say. This is for my job not a secret nightlife. The experience left me with a whole new respect for makeup people. I wore it on the 9pm newscast Saturday night and was really satisfied. But I was really shocked to see the African American makeup counter had nothing dark enough for me but one of the ladies guided me to the Prescriptive counter where they mixed the concoction and found a match. Hey ladies, thanks a lot for your hard work!
