NURSES OF THE WEEK: CASSANDRA JOHNSON AND CARL DANIEL!

THEY STABILIZED A SICK WOMAN AT THE BALL UNTIL THE AMBULANCE ARRIVED!

There was a brief break in the 2009 Southern University Mardi Gras Ball Saturday night when an attendee at the event actually passed out. The women fell from her chair to the floor and no one was quite sure what was wrong with her. That prompted two Southern University nursing school graduates into action. Cassandra Johnson, wife of NBA great Avery Johson and Insite correspondent Carl Daniel – both sprung into action. Johnson and Daniel comforted the woman who’s family said she had been feeling bad since about 6 that evening. They stabilized her until the paramedics arrived and took her to a local hospital. Way to put those Southern University medical skills to use Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Daniel. For their actions they’re officially the Insite’s nurses of the week!
