OTIS JORDAN IS RETIRING FROM THE HOUSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT!

WHO WILL TAKE UP THE FIGHT NOW FOR MINORITIES AND WOMEN!

To say Otis Jordan has been a thorn in the side of the Houston Fire Department would be an understatement. The Captain in the department has been President of the Black Firefighters Association for several years. In that role he has championed issues affecting African Americans and women in the department. But after 30 years with the department Jordan is calling it quits. As many of you know Otis is also running for Houston City Council. Now many are wondering who will take his place in the department as the person willing to risk it all standing up for minority groups and women. By the way, Otis has a goodbye party and the Insite will likely show up and snap some photos for those of you who won’t be able to attend!
