Dozens of people turned out for a high profile fire fighter’s last day on the job…Activist and fireman Captain Otis Jordan is calling it quits after 30 years with the Houston Fire Department. Everyone from the fire chief to city council members and even a full high school band was on hand for the farewell. Jordan also served as head of the Black Firefighters association in Houston. So what’s next for Jordan…He officially filed his paperwork to run for city council in the position currently held by Wanda Adams. Adams teared up as he said goodbye to all the people have come to know over the years. Also attending: Jolanda Jones, Asst. Chief Carl Matejka, Ronald Green, Chief Phil Boriskie, Pat O’Gilvey, and a host of others!
