OFF DUTY DEPUTIES INVOLVED IN SHOOTOUT!

ONE PERSON IS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH GUNSHOT WOUND!

From Harris County Sheriff’s Office: On October 12, 2009 at approximately 12:00 a.m., Deputies with the Sheriff’s Patrol responded to a shots fired call at 13092 Veterans Memorial Drive, the Reign Banquet Hall. When Deputies arrived they discovered one male had been shot in the hand and that an off duty out of county Officers and One Harris County Pct. 7 Deputy had fired their weapons as well. One victim had been transported to Houston Northwest Hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit arrived and began an investigation. It was determined the victim had been shot by a group of males driving a white vehicle. Off duty offices fired at the car and it is believed no one was injured.

The suspects are all described as young black males in a white vehicle with tinted windows.

This case will be referred to the Sheriff’s Assault unit. Anyone with information is requested to call Crime Stoppers.
