If you watch FOX 26 news tonight at 9pm make sure you have some tissue near by. The father of Prairie View A&M student Donnie Wade releases details on a pattern of alleged hazing and abuse at the school that could tear your heart out.
As many of you know Wade died Tuesday after collapsing on a track at Hempstead High School. Now police are investigating to determine if hazing may have caused his death.
The parents of Wade say absolutely. The college junior’s father said in a FOX interview he saw his son 6 days prior to his death. Donnie told his father he was pledging and had endured unbelievable abuse at the hands of his soon to be fraternity brothers.
Wade Sr. also said his son had lost a tremendous amount of weight and had bruises all over his body. That son allegedly pleaded with his father not to report it because he believed his frat brothers would kill him and his father.
According to Wade Sr. this wasn’t the first time their son had endured brutal hazing. According to the FOX interview Donnie had been so brutally beaten his first go round a year ago after transferring from Stephen F. Austin that he had to be hospitalized.
Donnie reportedly told his father not to report it because he wanted to become president of the organization so he could change the rules in the future.
Unfortunately, Donnie never will get to be president or have the opportunity to change the rules…
A raw interview of the father is coming in a hour on Myfoxhouston.com and watch the video report during the late news after the game!
