THE RUMORS ARE FLYING ABOUT PARKER’S FUTURE ADMINISTRATION!

DON’T TAKE ANY OF THIS TO THE BANK – IT’S JUST HEARSAY FROM PEOPLE AT CITY HALL!

Only days after her victory at the polls Mayor Elect Annise Parker plans to announce her transition team. According to a press release the new appointees will be unveiled Thursday at an 11 am press conference in the Controller’s Office at City Hall. But the big question everyone is asking is who will be the next Police Chief at the Houston Police Department. As you know Parker said she would fire Chief Harold Hurtt. He beat her to the punch by resigning at the end of this month. In the meantime, several of my sources claim Parker’s choice for replacing Hurtt has already been decided. They say it will be long time HPD insider Assistant Chief Vicki King. Also other’s claim Parker will make Assistant Fire Chief Raul Reyes the new head of HFD. But take all this information with a grain of salt. It’s just water cooler talk. We won’t actually know who Parker will appoint in her administration until the words roll from her lips. In other words I’m not standing behind these rumors – I’m just throwing them out there. But here’s something fun…Who do you think should be the chief at HPD and HFD? Let the Insite know your candidate of choice!
