WHO DO YOU THINK IS BEHIND THE DIRTY TRICKS?
The Borris Miles Campaign for Texas State House District 146 has been attacked via a fictitious email. The email attacks Miles’ opponent, links him to well known Republican operatives and contributors, and is undersigned by numerous elected officials and community leaders. The email message arrives on the eve of the Miles Campaign Grand Opening.
The email is a fraud and was not issued by the Miles Campaign.
“I apologize to my friends, colleagues and anyone who was referenced in this fraudulent attack,” said former State Representative Borris Miles. “This campaign is focused on the issues that matter to the people of District 146, not on political dirty tricks. I totally reject the email and its contents.”
“This is an obvious attempt to distract folks and to play politics in a District that is facing real issues — a high drop out rate, high rate of uninsured and HIV infection, as well as rising unemployment,” states Keith Wade, Campaign Director. “We’re focused on getting back to work for the people of District 146 and offer our sincerest apologies to our friends and colleagues.”
