You know it’s the day before an election because the political allegations begin to fly. The latest was against incumbent Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. As some of you may not have heard the elected official from the 18th Congressional district received an endorsement from President Barack Obama over the weekend. But some claimed the President wouldn’t endorse a candidate in a Democratic primary. They said the endorsement simply didn’t make any sense. That source claimed Lee’s stamp of approval from the Prez wasn’t legitimate. The Insite started asking question of staffers in the White House. Matt Lehrach with the WH Press Office returned my call immediately. He said the President did in fact endorse Jackson Lee. Lehrach went on to say he authenticates the endorsement. So, this should put the latest political allegation to rest. She is officially endorsed by the President in one of Jackson Lee’s toughest races.
