IS HE GONE OR STILL AT CITY HALL?

WHO WILL ANSWER THAT PHONE NOW?

The Insite got calls Thursday night saying well liked Houston city department head Issa Dadoush had resigned. He’s served as the leader of the General Services department. Dadoush has been a favorite here on the Insite as well as among city employees. The rumor mill says Dadoush is going to the private sector. The Insite made several attempts to reach Dadoush by cell phone but alas I was unsuccessful. Many are saying they hope it’s not true. The Insite will continue to follow this story first thing Friday morning. Will you miss Issa at Houston’s City Hall?

Dadoush is among a long list of city officials exiting city government with the changing of the guard including Anthony Hall and Arturo Michel!
Remember way back when:

March 8, 2004 — Mayor Bill White today named Issa Z. Dadoush, P.E., director of the Building Services Department. Acting Director Larry R. Baker will resign at the end of March to pursue other interests.

“Larry Baker has been a great asset to the city of Houston. We wish him well in his new pursuits,” Mayor White said. “We are confident that Mr. Dadoush will provide sound leadership as he takes the helm of building services.”

Dadoush is a registered professional engineer with nearly 21 years of experience in project management, the last 16 years for the City of Houston. He earned a B.S. from the University of Houston in engineering technology, with an emphasis in structural analysis and design.
