CELEBRATING NATIONAL POLICE WEEK IN HOUSTON BY HONORING POLICE!

STOPPING SERIAL KILLERS AND BUSTING CRIME RINGS!








We see them as police officers but today they were honored as heroes…A long list of Houston police officers were given their just do this morning as part of National Police Week. The Houston Police Department honored the tops in the department. On that list to name just a few was Officer Charles Mann who was responsible for catching the suspect wanted in the Acres Homes rapes and murders. Also slain officer Henry Canales was awarded undercover investigator of the year. Canales was killed in the line of duty last year. His wife accepted his owner. Lots of familiar faces attended the event including Mayor Annise Parker, Chief Charles McClelland, Assistant Chief Brian Lumpkin, Regina Wolfolk, Captain Bruce Williams, Victor Sienties, Officer Rick Salter (Lifetime Achievement Award), Gary Blankinship, City Council Member Wanda Adams, and many more. Congratulations to all of the winners!
