Mayor Annise Parker found herself stalling for time Monday for press conference at Seguin Elementary school.
The delay? HISD Superintendent Dr. Terry Grier was running behind for the joint effort to announce an aggressive campaign.
Mayor Parker and Super. Grier want to go straight to the students to warn them about the hurricane season.
The students were told to create emergency kits and go home and get their parents involved along with neighbors.
But back to Mayor Parker. She was right on time for the 11:30 am presser. So, when Grier wasn’t there she sat down with a group of fifth graders and gave them sort of pop quiz on what they knew about hurricane preps.
Surprisingly, all of the students did a great job and Parker looked like an experienced teacher in action!
