Sources tell fox 26 news the Houston Police Department is one step closer to completing an internal investigation into a video taped beating. It was back in March when then 15 year old Chad Holley says he was brutally beaten by a group of Houston police officers. That encounter was captured on tape and all the officers have been relieved of duty. We’ve since learned the internal investigation into the incident is being reviewed by the Civilian Review Committee at the Houston Police Department. Sources say once the civilian committee at the department gets the case the next likely step is a final decision from HPD Police Chief Charles McClelland. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office is still investigating the case as well. We’ll keep you updated.
