THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR WILL HONOR HOUSTON FIREFIGHTERS!

THEY WILL GET THE VALOR AWARD!

The Honorable David Dewhurst, Lieutenant Governor of Texas, will keynote at the 5th Annual “Face of Heroes.Answering the Call” dinner benefiting the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston. “We set aside September 11th, each year to honor the brave men and women of the Houston Fire Department, and we are very pleased to have Lt. Governor Dewhurst joining us this year to pay tribute to their service and to the sacrifices that our fire fighters make every day to save lives and keep us safe,” stated board chairman, Bill King.

Dinner Chair, Philamena Baird, plans a grand tribute at the Hilton Americas. “We will honor three of the Houston Fire Department distinguished Valor Award recipients along with our inaugural Everyday Community Hero Award deservingly going to longtime supporters Astrid and Gene Van Dyke,” Baird explained. “In addition we are pleased to honor Haynes and Boone, LLP, for their generous contribution to the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston.”

For the past five years, the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston has been raising funds to purchase supplemental equipment and supplies, and to fund training programs for the men and women of the Houston Fire Department. “Every day Houston Fire Fighters put their lives at risk to make sure yours is safe,” said King. “We depend on these brave men and women and we trust they will have the equipment and training they need to answer the call in any emergency.”
