I GUESS THE STUDENTS LOST INTEREST IN THE ART AND HISTORY!

THEY THREW A PARTY AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN SHOW!

The FOX news crew was ready to roll cameras on the campus of Texas Southern University Monday afternoon.

They were there for a promised rally by hundreds of students.
Those students were upset about two historical murals that were painted over in the school’s administration building by current TSU President John Rudley.
The reason given – the art, painted in the 1960’s, simply wasn’t attractive enough.
Last week the students were outraged and by Monday apparently it was just a fleeting emotion because that rally where the news media expected hundreds of students never materialized.
Rudley has since donated $50,000 to help with a restoration project to preserve the remaining murals that line the walls of Hannah Hall on the campus of TSU.
But what happened to the students? The young activists who typically stand up for their rights and passions on college campuses all around the country?
Who knows, maybe it was simply too hot Monday for a good old fashion protest!

Response from former TSU student:
Isiah,
They switched the game up. The protest is supposed to be tomorrow. Tuesday at 3pm at the TSU plaza.
If you go to the facebook page I created Protest Against Whitewashing of TSU murals. Here’s the link.

The TSU students were discouraged from protesting so that’s why I “think” that the date changed and the time is so late. I will try and find you on facebook. peace
