Two weeks ago a group of African American men in Houston gave a party that also doubled as their first annual toy drive.

It was held  at the Museum of African American Culture.  Many thought that party would end there, but those people were wrong.

The brothers who threw that party got up early Christmas morning and hit the children’s hospital.

They made good on a promise to personally deliver the toys they collected to the young people who were hospitalized.

The men who labeled themselves ‘The Committee of Excellence’ showed they were accountable.  Dozens of young people benefited from the effort.

John Guess, who’s part of the group, was very excited about the possibility of putting a smile on a kid’s face.

Guess says, “it was instilled in us to always give back.”  That’s exactly what they did.

Some of those who participated were: Jermaine Patton, John Guess, David Anderson, Ade Adeluyi, Kareem Dale, Alvin Sumler, James Donatto, and Jamal Dale.

Hats off young men for remembering to help those who are less fortunate!
