HOUSTON CITY WORKERS GET FRIDAY OFF WITHOUT PAY!

The approaching winter storm has prompted Mayor Annise Parker to announce non-essential city workers will not have to report to work on Friday.

However, Parker says those workers will not be paid.

She says Friday will be considered a furlough day for city employees.

As you may recall the city is facing a $53 million budget gap.

Parker ordered city employees to take 6 furlough days by Saturday June.

Essential workers like police and fire will still report to work!
