Have you been to some parts of southeast Houston as of late? If you haven’t you might be shocked just how bad it looks. I was in the area Monday when I noticed furniture, tires, trash and even a dead dog dumped into ditches. The area is littered with waste. I called the city’s Public Works department.
Spokesman Alvin Wright says illegal dumping is an ongoing problem they fight on a daily basis. However, Wright says it’s important for Houstonians to report those they see dumping in their communities. Wright says if you see illegal dumping get a description of the driver, a license tag, and what kind of vehicle they’re in. He also says call 311 and report it!
