As many of you know there has been a big change in the convenience store industry in Houston.

It was announced last year that Exxon would sell off it’s convenience stores to focus on its core business of oil and gas.

That left an opening for Landmark Industries commonly known as Timewise to aquire those Houston area stores.

The transaction has been completed in Houston and nearly 80 stores have made the switch.

But now long time employees of the former Exxon stores are nervous.

They say as a result of the sell many of them have lost their tenure.

They claim they go back to day one as if they were just hired.

Also those workers say they hear their pay under Landmark could be reduced by $2 to $3 a hour.

Workers say they won’t know their new parent company’s decision until the beginning of March.

I’ve placed a call to Landmark and I’m waiting on a response from the company.

Stay tuned!

They do not need managers they need accountant for the stores who stays there 24 / 7 and be ready to get calls from handreds of boses they have it was a nightmare and i am glad its over .

It seems to me that the new EXXON managers should be mad at the company that sold them out instead of directing there anger towards Timewise. I know several people that work for TimeWise and I like what they do over there.Any time you aquire new buisness there is going to be change I dont see what the big deal about TimeWise buying out the Exxons in Houston. Looking into the situation the store that this article was filmed at is not even a TimeWise store .

I worked foe Timewise for almost 4 years and started at $8 an hour and left the company making 8.50. Very poor management from all levels. Very stressful. My advice is that let the employees that work there everyday do a little more decision making. Poor benefits. Poor hours. Use hard workers til they quit. I was actually told at one point to only look at applications of people under 20 years old because they work for minimum wage.
