I was driving down highway 90 in Liberty County Tuesday when traffic came to a standstill.
I wondered why would there be a traffic back up in Dayton, Texas.
Then as I moved closer up the highway it was clear what was happening. It’s rodeo season.
A long line of trail riders on horseback and wagons caused the delay.
It was a reminder the Houston rodeo season was kicking off.
There was also another key indicator that was actually new to me.
While I was in Kroger Wednesday morning I noticed a section of the store totally dedicated to Houston Rodeo brand sausage, beef brisket, and other meats.
I’m not sure how it will taste but I will likely by a few packs to see what the big fuss is all about.
Welcome to the Houston rodeo season!
