Harris County prosecutors may soon run out of paper at the county courthouse.

Assistant District Attorney Wendy Baker says she’s posted several no barratry signs in the Harris County Criminal Justice Center but they keep disappearing.

The signs warn bad actors it’s against the law to solicit clients for attorneys or to pass yourself off as an attorney.

Baker says she has posted the signs on several floors of the criminal courthouse and each time the warning notices are torn down by someone.

How many times?  The prosecutor says the signs have been posted four different times and each time they go missing.

Can you say conspiracy?

If you see someone practicing barratry or tearing down one of the signs please report it to the District Attorney’s office!
