As of 7pm this evening Harris County prosecutors have refiled criminal charges against Dr Tony Ha for barratry. Assistant District Attorney Wendy Baker says the chiropractor worked with State Rep Ron Reynolds in soliciting clients for car accident cases. Reynolds was arrested and charged Tuesday night with Barratry. Ha’s attorney Bob Bennett says his client did nothing wrong and the district attorney’s office is in disarray because prosecutors initially charged Ha with the wrong crime of passing himself off as an attorney. So prosecutors have since changed the charge to barratry in connection to the Reynolds’ case.
