Robert Goerlitz Harris County Deputies' Organization
The families of some slain Harris County law enforcement officers are hot this week. According to officials from the Harris County Deputies’ Organization those families are upset over where the annual law enforcement officer’s memorial will be held. Robert Goerlitz who heads the HCDO says typically the memorial is head in downtown Houston at the Family Law Center. There is a garden on the complex that he says is appropriate and respectful during a time our mourning. But this year Goerlitz says the memorial will be held in a parking lot. That’s right a parking lot at the local Crimestoppers office. Goerlitz says some families of slain officers are hot over this issue.
