BIO: Varrie V (VAHR-REE) – born Chavarreau Clark, is a twenty-one year old born into the soulful and rhythmic streets of Houston, Texas. It was there that Varrie learned to marry her expressive, soul-stirring voice to the experiences that serve as the backbone of her musical career. Her influences range from great artists such as Phil Collins, Toni Braxton, Anita Baker, Frou Frou, Adele, the late Teena Marie, and Houston’s own Beyonce. Her pursuit in music began at the age of one when Varrie began taking her first baby steps towards an old radio. Some children found fascination in dolls and in other toys while Varrie fell in love with her ability to conceive songs and dance routines in her mirror. This fascination quickly turned into a heap of talent shows, church performances, and theater & lounge pieces. Because of her increasing and infectious passion for her work and abstract harmonies, Varrie is affectionately known as the “Queen of Melodies”. With her style, tone, and stage presence, she has reached to the many situations and experiences of those that witness her work. She is matchless in her talent and unique in her way; Varrie’s work has been noted as a different arrangement than most in R&B, giving way to establishment of her own genre – R&V. She is by-far a songbird with a potential and pledge that will remain an irreplaceable charisma in this journey called music.
