I started getting calls Wednesday that longtime and morning radio favorite Nnete was no longer on the air at 97.9 The Box.
I decided to give the woman I consider a friend a call.
Nnete answered but wasn’t ready to talk about what happened at the radio station.
She said she would possibly address the issue next week.
One report indicates that Nnete no longer works for Radio One, the parent company of the Box.
She’s been with the station for more than a decade but has slowly transitioned into other areas of the entertainment field like comedy and acting.
Whatever happened I surely hope our favorite and beloved morning air person lands on her feet with that sharp wit and no nonsense approach to entertainment interviews!
