Some residents in Houston are concerned about their children’s safety. They say there is a growing sinkhole and all the city has placed around it a caution sign and a cone. Here is a note from one of the residents:

Isiah,

I was on my way home from the gym this morning and saw what seems to be a sink hole on Cleveland St at Cushing St. All that is there is a COH cone???? Really??? This is how “accidents” happen. Now the children are out of school for summer and there are always people walking the neighborhood all day long. Can you help get this taken care of or at least have a better guard around it? I would really appreciate it.

UPDATE: Utility Maintenance Branch confirmed a sewer line defect causing the cave in conditions at 1200 Cleveland at Cushing. UMB repair teams are on location to make repairs. This is a small street and repair is needed to maintain mobility.
