Dozens of people turned out for an event that was designed to raise money for the construction of what would be Houston’s first Nigerian-American Multicultural Center. It was held Friday night at the Sheraton Hotel in the Galleria area was and dubbed A Night to Transform. Guests were entertained and dined on authentic Nigerian food while a silent and live auction took center stage. Some of those in attendance were the Ambassador from Nigeria to America, The Nigerian Consulate General from New York -Habib Habu, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and Houston City Councilman Jack Christie. The Insite had the honor and pleasure of serving as the master of ceremony at the event. If you’d like to know more about the Nigerian-American Multicultural Center follow the link. I’d like to personally thank NAMC President Yemi Koyejo and organizer Doyin Fashakin for inviting me to be a part of the event!
