Just when you thought the coast was clear someone comes along and dumps more dogs. Activists who have targeted the Crosby area where dogs were dumped and killed over the last year say the problem has returned. It was just a few weeks ago when we reported how billboards were placed up, patrols had begun, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office sent out warnings about dumping your pets in the area. Despite those efforts people have begun dumping dogs again near the San Jancinto river at Crosby.  Rhonda Heffernan has been fighting the problem for a full year.

She thought she was making head way when she learned a half dozen more dogs were dumped in the area just this week. We’ll talk to Rhonda to see what new efforts will begin to stop the dog dumping at the area dubbed the Crosby Puppy Massacre site.

I wanted to say THANK YOU for all your heroic efforts with regards to these poor, desperate animals! I adopted HANK in late June after he was rescued by YOU!! I am happy to report that after a rather serious bout with Distemper, he is happy, healthy & an absolute joy!! I am constantly amazed at the cruelty people inflict on helpless animals. Thank you for being an Angel of Mercy!!
