On Sunday, July 15, 2012, investigators from the Harris County Sheriff’s Homicide unit responded to the Village of Pine Lakes Apartments. The call was in reference to an unresponsive 4 year old male. The child was transported by ambulance to Northeast Hospital, where he was pronounced.
Homicide Investigators interviewed family members on the scene. As a result of the information gathered, the child’s mother Vastie Sharika Coleman , 12/29/1984, has been with charged with Injury to a child-SBI.
She is currently in the Harris County Jail facility with no bond.
