Thunderbolt Motors and Transmission has been operating on Navigation near Wayside in Houston since 1969.
The owner, Skipper Hartley, is not quite sure how long his company will remain strong.
Hartley is upset because the construction of Metro’s light rail line is taking a toll on his business.
He says since the tracks were laid he lost his front parking.
The east end businessman says he also lost his spaces for the disabled and now all of his customers struggle to find a spot to leave their vehicles.
Hartley says he’s seen a 30% decrease in business because of a lack of parking.
The Insite is hoping to get a response from Metro on this issue.
As soon as I get one it will be posted here!
