It’s been three weeks and the Waller County District Attorney still hasn’t made a move in a controversial investigation that has some in the county screaming foul. It was back on July 1st when a prominent attorney from the area allegedly lead law enforcement officers on a pursuit. Instead of that attorney being arrested he was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw to determine what was in his system.

Those who live in Waller say Elton Mathis, the district attorney, should’ve issued a warrant for the arrest of the lawyer by now. I placed a call to Mathis office and have not heard back as of yet. Officials with the Waller County Sheriff’s office say they turned the case over to the DA and it’s his job now to file charges. At last check assistant DA John Edwards says their office was waiting on a final report from the Texas Department of Public Safety. What do you think is happening in Waller County?
Note: I did my weekly check with Detective Scott Green at the Sheriff’s office to see if there had been an arrest. Green said he couldn’t say and didn’t know if the Sheriff was at work Monday.
The sheriff of Waller County is the problem. There is a video on youtube posted, that shows him exchanging words with a supervisor from Harris County Sheriff’s Office. He is worse than Randy Smith.
Waller County is the 2nd most corrupt county in Texas (Montgomery County being the first). It’s a source of embarrassment and often fear for us Waller County residents. It’s always been like this and no change is on the horizon. Our Sheriff and DA are a joke. The words “incompetent” and “buffoons” comes to mind.
I would like to know mpre about this and any more complaints or wrong doing by the DA…. I am trying to form a protest-investigation into his picking and choosing of what cases to bring fourth. I personally believe he use his office for peraonal gain and need any and all help I can get to prove this….
