Former Houston City Councilman Jarvis Johnson says he’s meeting with his lawyers and weighing his options for a major fight. Johnson lost his bid for the Democratic spot in the race for position 6 at the Harris County Department of Education. He was in a runoff with Erica Lee. Johnson says he has too many questions about the election results Tuesday night.
He specifically points to what he calls a discrepancy between the number of ballots and voters. Johnson says in his race there were only 11,000 ballots but 16,000 votes cast in the race. He says he wants an explanation for that. The former city official says he’s meeting with his attorney to decide which course of action to take.
