According to a Facbook friend this sign was posted here in Texas.  It’s apparently blow back from a comment made by President Barack Obama this year.  During a campaign speech last month Mr. Obama said most Americans didn’t achieve success by themselves.  He says in some form or fashion we all received helped whether it was from an educator or the infrastructure (roads and bridges) we use to deliver our goods and services.  Hence the term ‘you didn’t build that’ was born.  But some including people right here in Texas took offense to those words.  Many thought the President was referring directly to people who built their own business.  As a result of the controversial comment that was in most part taken out of context – some are firing back.  This was a sign I’m told was erected by a business owner in Grimes County.  That person says he built his business on his own and the President can kiss his #ss.  Your thoughts?

Obama’s quote; “If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.” And, “If you were successful, somebody along the line, gave you some help.” finally he said, “If you’ve got a business, You didn’t build that.”
He truly believes that without GOVERNMENT, you have no chance for success. This explains his dream of a socialist democracy, where the government becomes the driving force in supply and demand. You are a failure without the leg up the government provides.
In truth we do need infrastructure, but that was built with MY, and your, taxes. Conservatives believe that Federal, State and Local governments are trustees of those public funds that are collected from taxes.
I can totally understand those who feel President Obama completely disregarded the personal risk and effort of those who have started their own businesses. Some will just be more vocal then others. Its their first amendment right.

It sounds really good to say I came out of the womb in America fought the Revolution,War of 1812, Civil War, WWI, & WWII solo; then I built the city I lived in, created the electrical grid, financed the railroad network, designed and built the roads; in my spare time in invented vacuum tubes, telephones, radios, microwaves, etc.

It is sad and disturbing people are so arrogant as to believe they received no help from “we the people”.

I for one would like to thank everyone who has helped me, government, NGO, or otherwise.

So I assume this business owner never went to school a day in their life. The education that te government provided for you gave you the foundation to start your business.
