Officials with the Houston Police Department say if you want to dump the old prescriptions in your medicine cabinet they have the perfect place.
Chief Charles McClelland says the department has undertaken an effort to help you dump those old pills.
McClelland says there’s a major concern in the community that young people could abuse old drugs forgotten by their parents.
To help celebrate the D.E.A.’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day the police department has set up 7 different locations around the city where you will be able to dump your old medications.
Here in Houston the day has been set for Saturday, September 29th from 10 am to 2 pm at the following HPD substations:
