THE SHERIFF CREATES A PERMANENT PLACE TO DUMP THOSE OLD DRUGS!

Sheriff Adrian Garcia and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Coalition of Behavioral Health Services, and Houston Crackdown, will announce the establishment of a permanent prescription drug drop-off location at a 2 p.m. news conference on September 26, 2012.
The announcement comes just days before the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Campaign, which will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at numerous locations throughout the greater Houston metropolitan area.
The goal of the HCSO’s permanent prescription drug drop-off location and the National Prescription Drug Take Back campaign is to provide a safe way for citizens to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs and halt the increase in addiction caused by their misuse and abuse.
