Here’s an email a source says he received from the top prosecutor under Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos.
This means Jim Leitner is one of two top attorneys to leave in as many months from the DA’s office:
This is my last hour as First Assistant. It has been a tremendous honor to have served in this position with all of you for these four years. I am proud to have been Judge Lykos’s First Assistant and I am proud to have been your First Assistant. I am proud of the many accomplishments that we, as an office, have made. Soon I will return to waters I have charted before as many of you will also. I wish each of you the very best in the future. I just cannot believe how fast this time has passed. The future is always uncertain, but I know that I am leaving this place a stronger person than when I came. (e.g. see the attachment)

These departing prosecutors seem not to want to work for either Mike Anderson OR Lloyd Oliver. Amazing.
The people who are leaving are assuming that Lloyd Oliver’s opponent. I think they would stay, if they thought Lloyd Oliver is going to be the next Harris County District Attorney.
