THE JACK YATES ALUMNI REUNITE INITIATIVE!

Press Release: The Jack Yates Alumni Reunite Initiative is a home grown project created in the hearts and minds of those focused on the self-preservation of our kids though community involvement. Our approach is simple; we consolidate our resources and solicit assistance from those who are like-minded in the long term vision we have for the Yates student body.

We recognize and applaud the work being done by the educators in our community but they need our help. It’s imperative that we stand in the gap for and remain committed to those we plan to pass the torch to.

These are our children and we must lead by example. Fiscal constraints sometime jeopardize and limit their availability to higher technology and other advanced educational programming. As a people we cannot be part of the problem.
 
It is our responsibility to absorb these challenges and preserve an environment where future leaders are given every opportunity to achieve and succeed.

We must maintain an educational climate where the students are confident that their community is spiritually and financially invested in their future.

Recently we held a raffle to support The Football team, The Band and The PTO Scholarships. This initial effort was supported by alumni, concerned individuals and businesses.

We thank the local television and radio station personalities who provided air time and a platform for us to showcase this initiative.
