gun a ppreciation day

Since that tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut where 26 children and adults died – there has been a nationwide call for some type of gun control.

That has led to some gun advocates taking offense to any form of new legislation by countering with their own solution.

A nationally organized group is pushing January 19th as Gun Appreciation Day in America.

The website is encouraging supporters to take a stand against new laws that would interfere with their constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

Some on social media have called the campaign a slap in the face to the families members who have lost children in the deadly Sandy Hook shooting back in December.

Here’s one of the flyers on the internet mocking the holiday that will likely leave Americans even more divided over the gun issue in this country.

What do you think?

“Gun Appreciation Day” sounds pretty hokey, but this is just tasteless. At least in America I can still shake my head sadly, then go clean my guns, while others can mull over more shock value slogans. Here’s hoping it stays that way.

Saw this agitprop poster on Facebook. If they had a valid, well-reasoned argument, they wouldn’t have to photoshop emotionally inflammatory images onto someone else’s promotional materials to evoke a response from people who already agree with them. I think this illustrates how nakedly biased they truly are.
