Officials with the city of Houston say that car that hangs from a building on Kirby can stay for now. The controversial Mini Cooper hangs from the building owned by the Parvizian family in Upper Kirby. Alvin Wright with Houston’s Public Works Department says inspectors will allow the shell of a vehicle to stay put for 6 months under a temporary permit but after that the owners will have to find a new place for it. Some with the city have said the vehicle is dangerous because it hangs over a public sidewalk. However, the Parvizians say the car is only fiberglass and poses no danger to pedestrians!
