The 200 plus residents at The Houston Heights Tower have complained about an infestitation of bed bugs for at least a year.
The Factor has learned there could soon be a solution down the road.
Director of the facility Hope Aguirre says soon the 38 year old multi unit complex will undergo a major renovation.
Aguirre says the four churches that own the building have received a federal grant of $8 million to renovate the structure.
She says the residents will be temporarily moved to a hotel while the process is underway.
Aguire also says the renovations will result in the removal of the bed bug problem that has plagued the aging facility.
The makeover is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
